Lock&Go.
Have you ever experienced bike theft? If so, you’re not alone.
According to the Irish Times, Dublin experienced a 46% increase in bike theft in 2021. Bike theft is on the rise, leaving many of the public suffering from theft anxiety and refraining from inner-city cycling. As a result, cyclists carry several bike locks to inhibit bike theft.
As a systems-minded designer, I create emotionally durable and comprehensive product experiences for the unmet needs of the people. Here, the unmet need of a cyclist is to travel lock-less, giving total convenience and freedom.

Lock&Go. is a premium locking service that removes the need to carry a bike lock. It offers total convenience for the cycling commuter, in a safe package.
Lock&Go. compromises of an app and physical bollard, delivered in a compact form suitable for our already saturated city streetscape. The design promotes safe locking, mitigating wheel component theft, providing the ultimate security and peace of mind for the user.

Retaining Trust After Tampering is Detected - Exciters
When a user is presented with the scenario that their bike is being tampered with, this elicits a feeling of negativity. This highlights the need for an adequate theft procedure that assists with user retention.
Security features come in many forms with Lock&Go., from material selection of the hardened steel chain to the implementation of a security speaker and alarm.
When tampering is detected, using sensors that monitor the locks, a notification is sent to the user.
