Chatter Natter

In a one-week design sprint collaboration with the charity Friends of the Elderly, my team and I set out to enhance the connection and way volunteers engage with the elderly. It was identified that the charity has trouble onboarding volunteers for peer to peer calls as volunteers often feel they don’t know what to contribute to a conversation. Chatter Natter is designed to prompt conversation, a tool to get the chats flowing!

Chatter Natter enables the volunteer to communicate easier with the member, and learn more about them. For the elderly member, these questions can trigger old memories or experiences which is a nice moment for them to escape from their repetitive routine. As well as this the volunteer can be asked a question and share their own experiences creating a more genuine conversation and connection.
